This 50-metre outdoor swimming pool always draws a crowd! With a fairly new water slide, diving boards, a wading pool for kids, and accessible change rooms, the Bowring Park pool is always a great time.

The pool offers daily swims during July and August each season, completely free!

Check out the Bowring Park Pool schedule to plan your visit.

2) Bannerman Park

Located on Bannerman Road and also operated by the City of St. John’s, the Bannerman pool is a 25-metre L-shaped pool with accessible change rooms.

It, too, is completely free and has swims every day of the week! Check the Bannerman Park Pool schedule.

3) Corner Brook Margaret Bowater Park

Whether or not this could be classified as a pool is debatable, but we’re including it!

The Corner Brook Stream swimming area at Margaret Bowater Park is indeed not technically a “pool”, although it has been designed for public swimming, even including stairs to climb in and out.

It’s a popular area and even includes some nice seating on the sidelines for parents. You can find it on O’Connell Drive in Corner Brook, at Margaret Bowater Park. Check this map link to find it!

You may find various other outdoor pools around the province, such as at hotels, though because of the Newfoundland climate, they’re not too popular. An indoor pool can be used year-round and therefore are much more common!

Bonus: Splash Pads

Splash pads offer the cooling of water but without the pool!

You can find them located in Bowring and Bannerman Park (near the pools), Kenmount Terrace, and outside of St. John’s in Paradise Park near the Paradise Double Ice Complex, and in Corner Brook at Margaret Bowater Park.
