With its strong Irish roots, Newfoundland knows how to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day!
This year, the March 17 holiday falls on a Tuesday, though in Newfoundland the local holiday happens on Monday March 16th, creating a long weekend!
As you’d expect, the signature Irish bars such as Shamrock City and O’Reilly’s have week-long celebrations and musical lineups, though the biggest crowds will be out on the weekend.
O’Reilly’s has a sold-out weekend brunch, a family event, St. Patrick’s Day breakfast, and excellent local music throughout the entire week with acts such as the Masterless Men, The Punters, Tarahan, and many more! Check out the full O’Reilly’s lineup and schedule here.
Shamrock City has lots of fun planned as well, and if you’re not in St. John’s you can check out one of their other locations such as Goulds or Clarenville. Click here to check out their schedule for St. Patrick’s celebrations.
